쿠팡 통근버스 정면충돌사고..
70대 대리기사 ‘졸음운전’

인천 서부경찰서에 따르면, 오늘 오전 4시 40분쯤 인천 서구 연희동의 한 교차로에서 70대 대리기사 A씨가 운전한 SUV가 쿠팡 물류센터로 통근 중이던 버스와 정면으로 충돌했습니다.
사고 당시, SUV는 도로 중앙선을 침범하여 신호를 기다리고 있던 통근버스와 충돌한 것으로 조사되었습니다.
이 사고로 A씨 운전자와 SUV 차주인 B씨가 부상을 입어 병원으로 옮겨져 치료를 받고 있으며, 다행히 생명에는 위협이 없는 상태입니다.
통근버스에는 운전자를 포함한 총 15명이 승차하고 있었으며, 병원으로 옮겨진 승객은 없습니다.
대리기사 A씨는 경찰 조사에서 졸음 운전으로 사고가 발생한 것으로 진술했습니다.
경찰은 A씨의 진술과 현장의 폐쇄회로(CC)TV 영상 및 차량 블랙박스 자료를 기반으로 사고 경위를 조사 중입니다.
경찰 관계자는 “A씨에 대해서는 교통사고처리 특례법 위반(치상) 혐의로 처벌할 예정입니다”라고 밝혔습니다.
According to the Incheon Seobu Police Station, an SUV driven by a proxy driver in his 70s collided head-on with a bus commuting to the Coupang Logistics Center at an intersection in Yeonhui-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, at around 4:40 a.m. today.
At the time of the accident, the SUV was found to have violated the centerline of the road and collided with a commuter bus waiting for a signal.
In this accident, A’s driver and SUV owner B were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment, and fortunately, there is no life threat.
There were a total of 15 people on the commuter bus, including the driver, and no passengers were taken to the hospital.
Assistant driver A stated in a police investigation that the accident occurred due to drowsy driving.
The police are investigating the accident based on A’s statement, CCTV footage at the scene, and vehicle black box data.
A police official said, “A will be punished for violating the Special Act on the Handling of Traffic Accidents.”
