조선, ‘신림동 흉기난동’ 사건 첫 재판에서 고의 부인

“신림동 흉기 난동” 사건의 피의자인 조선(33)은 23일 첫 재판에서 자신이 피해자들을 고의로 살해하려 한 의도가 없었다고 주장했습니다.
조선의 변호인은 이날 서울중앙지법 형사합의32-2부(조승우 방윤섭 김현순 부장판사)에서 열린 첫 공판에서, 공소사실은 모두 인정하면서도 “피해자들을 살해하려 한 고의에 대해서는 전혀 사실이 아니다”라고 주장했습니다.
이 변호인은 “(누군가) 자신을 쫓는다는 망상을 겪어, 그들을 닮은 듯한 남성들을 공격한 것처럼 보입니다”라며 “하지만 경위를 떠나 피해자들에게 피해를 입혔다는 점에 대해서는 진심으로 사과드립니다”라고 말했습니다.
또한, 범행 동기에 대한 일부 오해가 있다고 주장했습니다. 변호인은 “소장에 기재된 것과 달리, 또래 남성들에 대한 열등감과 분노를 품은 적이 없습니다”라며 “이러한 이유로 또래 남성을 무차별적으로 살해하려 한다는 주장도 사실과 다르다”라고 덧붙였습니다.
조선은 이날 재판 중에 고개를 깊이 숙이고, 손으로 얼굴을 가리거나 깊은 한숨을 내쉬는 모습을 보였습니다. 검찰은 사안의 중요성을 감안하여 피해자 유족 및 직간접적 피해자를 증인으로 신청할 계획입니다.
조선은 지난달 21일 오후 2시 7분에 서울 관악구 신림동 번화가에서 20대 남성을 흉기로 여러 번 찔러 살해한 뒤, 골목 안쪽에서 30대 남성 3명에게 잇따라 흉기를 휘둘렀던 혐의(살인 등)로 구속기소되었습니다.

At the first hearing held at the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Agreement Division 32-2 (Chief Judge Cho Seung-woo, Bang Yoon-seop, and Kim Hyun-soon), Chosun’s lawyer admitted all the charges but claimed, “It is not true at all about the intention to kill the victims.”
The lawyer said, “It seems that (someone) has been delusional about chasing him and attacked men who look like them,” adding, “But I sincerely apologize for causing damage to the victims regardless of the circumstances.”
He also claimed that there were some misunderstandings about the motive of the crime. “Unlike what is written in the complaint, I have never had an inferiority complex and anger toward men of my age,” the lawyer said. “For this reason, the claim of indiscriminate murder of men of my age is also not true.”
During the trial, Joseon bowed its head deeply, covered its face with its hands, or showed a deep sigh. Considering the importance of the issue, the prosecution plans to apply for the victim’s bereaved family and direct or indirect victims as witnesses.
Chosun was arrested and indicted on charges of stabbing a man in his 20s several times with a weapon in downtown Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, at 2:07 p.m. on the 21st of last month and wielding a weapon against three men in their 30s from inside the alley.
