신세계그룹은 16일에 ‘스타필드 청라 비전선포식’을 개최하여 돔구장과 복합쇼핑몰을 결합한 세계 최초의 ‘스타필드 청라’의 청사진을 발표했다.
정용진 신세계그룹 부회장, 유정복 인천시장, 김진용 인천경제자유구역청장, 임영록 신세계프라퍼티 대표이사 등이 참석한 이날 행사에서 신세계프라퍼티와 인천시는 ‘스타필드 청라’의 사업진행 현황과 비전을 공유했다.
신세계프라퍼티는 국내 최대 규모의 복합쇼핑몰 ‘스타필드’를 개발하고 운영하며, ‘스타필드 청라’는 차세대 스포츠, 문화, 엔터테인먼트 복합 공간으로서 새로운 여가문화의 패러다임을 제시할 것이라고 밝혔다.
‘스타필드 청라’는 세계 최초로 돔구장과 복합쇼핑몰이 결합된 멀티 엔터테인먼트 공간으로, 부지 면적은 16.5만㎡(5만평), 연면적은 50만㎡(15만평), 지하 3층과 지상 6층으로 구성되며, 2027년 말에 준공을 목표로 한다.

Shinsegae Property said it will develop and operate the nation’s largest shopping mall “Starfield,” and “Starfield Cheongna” will present a new paradigm of leisure culture as a next-generation sports, culture and entertainment complex.
“Starfield Cheongna” is the world’s first multi-entertainment space that combines a dome stadium and a complex shopping mall, with a site area of 160,000㎡ (50,000 pyeong), a total floor area of 500,000㎡ (150,000 pyeong), three basement floors and six ground floors, and aims to be completed by the end of 2027.
멀티스타디움은 2만1000석 규모로 최첨단 시설이며, 야구와 다양한 문화, 예술 전시, K팝 및 해외 유명 아티스트의 공연 등 다양한 이벤트가 일년 내내 개최될 예정이다.
또한 ‘스타필드 청라’는 쇼핑, 문화, 예술, 레저, 힐링 등 다양한 여가 생활을 한 곳에서 즐길 수 있는 원스톱 목적지로, 350여개의 다양한 브랜드를 보유한 쇼핑시설과 스포츠 시설, 어린이 전용 도서관 ‘별마당 키즈’ 등을 포함하며, 지역민과 MZ세대의 라이프 스타일에 맞춰 IT 기술을 활용한 문화 콘텐츠도 제공할 예정이다.
‘스타필드 청라’는 국내외에서 많은 관광객들이 방문할 것으로 기대되며, 이에 따른 생산 유발효과와 부가가치 유발효과, 지역 고용 창출 효과 등이 예상되고, 신세계그룹은 최고의 고객 경험을 제공하여 고객들의 시간과 공간을 점유할 계획이다.
정용진 신세계그룹 부회장은 “스타필드 청라를 통해 여가문화의 패러다임을 완전히 변화시킬 것”이라며 “세계 최고의 대한민국 랜드마크 시설로 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
‘스타필드 청라’는 현재 경관상세계획 심의를 완료하였으며, 지하 공사와 토목 공사가 진행 중이며, 지상 층의 건축 변경 인허가가 마무리되면 본격적인 공사가 시작될 예정이다.

“Starfield Cheongna” has currently completed deliberation on the landscape detailed plan, underground and civil engineering work are underway, and construction will begin in earnest when the approval for construction changes on the ground floor is completed.
